What Is an Oblong Face Shape?

An oblong face is the long version of a square: clearly longer than it is wide, with forehead, cheekbones and jaw all close to the same width and a jawline that turns at a corner rather than curving.

How to Tell If You Have an Oblong Face

The four measurements every shape on this site is defined by.

Measure length against width
Oblong faces read around one and a half to two times longer than wide — the longest ratio of the seven shapes.

Compare the three widths
Like square, the forehead, cheekbones and jaw sit close to equal. It is the length that separates the two.

Check the chin
Oblong faces usually end in a flat or square chin. A pointed chin at this length points toward heart or diamond.
